GET A GIFT PROMOTION ENDS

PRIZE trips to London and thousands of dollars in gift certificates were the order of the day for several lucky Barbadians when the Duty Free Caribbean Group's 2004 'Get a Gift' promotion ended on December 24.

Kim Bayley collected a trip to London with spending money for her daughter Michelle, who won the Harrisons Catalogue-Virgin Atlantic promotion. Sheila Springer of Cane Garden, St. Andrew, won the Cave Shepherd-Virgin Atlantic Promotion and will also be travelling to London with spending money, during the summer.

Cindy Maynard of Shop Hill, St. Thomas, collected the Harrisons Get a Gift grand prize of $3 000 in gift certificates and Cyrilene Bryan of Black Rock, St. Michael, took home $5 000 in gift certificates, Duty Free Caribbean's grand prize.

Glyne Brathwaite, Divisional manager of Harrisons Nicholas House, Sheraton, No. 1, Hastings and Bridgetown Port, presented the prizes to Bayley and Maynard, while Gloria Hunte, supervisor of the Power Station, presented Springer with her trip and manager of Broad Street Mens and Ladies Designer Wear, Evan Husbands, offered Bryan her prize.

The promotion began on November 8 at Cave Shepherd, Harrisons, Colombian Emeralds International, Pages Bookstores and Total Sport, the Group's stores and gave away six prizes every week to shoppers.

In addition to the two trips to London, the prizes totalled $26 000 in Cave Shepherd cash, 12 pairs of his and hers Puma Mostros shoes, six Gucci watches, $600 in Pages gift certificates, ladies and gents land leather briefcases, spa and weekend packages for two at various hotels, multichoice and Nation subscriptions as well as Waterford crystal and jewellery sets.
