SKIN CARE EXPERTS PAMPERING MUMS AT CAVE SHEPHERD THIS WEEK

EXPERTS from some of the top international skin care lines will be in Barbados this month to take part in Cave Shepherd's first Pampering Event from May 4.

The event, which coincides with Mother's Day, has overseas specialists in the island from Elizabeth Arden as well as Fashion Fair and Iman and is expected to be attended by women in their numbers for a chance to sit back, relax and enjoy the specialty treatments.

Tracey Lloyd, regional director of marketing for Duty Free Caribbean, explained: "The entire perfume department of our main store on Broad Street has been transformed into a Spa, with relaxing music, flowers, select tables with eats and, most importantly, with staff dressed in white as they would in a Spa, delivering the treatments.

"All our skin care lines are involved including Clinique, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Clarins and with the international representatives from Elizabeth Arden, Fashion Fair and Iman, this event will be unlike anything our patrons at Cave Shepherd have ever experienced before," Lloyd said, adding that the international representatives would be working alongside the Perfume & Cosmetics Department's own Alison Greene of Clinique, Harriet Pilgrim of Estee Lauder, Gail-Ann Ifill of Lancome, Rosalind Taitt-Matthews of Clarins and Revlon representative Hazel Webster.

In addition to the Pampering, 2008 Digicel Rising Star Dwane Husbands will be in the store from noon on May 8 to serenade patrons and on that day mothers and daughters shopping together will stand the chance to win several surprise giveaways.

There will be other innovations at various Duty Free Caribbean outlets during the month as well, Lloyd added: "For example, with every $75 spent at Harrisons in skin care products, customers will get free facials until month-end.

"We are really excited about all the things that are happening this May and we can't wait to start sharing some of these goodies with our patrons," said Lloyd.
