INTERNATIONAL ENTERTAINER SIR CLIFF RICHARDS FOR PAGES BOOK SIGNING

INTERNATIONAL singer and movie star, Sir Cliff Richard, will be in Pages Bookstore, West Coast Mall for the signing of his No. 1 bestselling book, My Life, My Way, on Monday, March 23 at 11 a.m.

The UK-born singer of international hits such as The Young Ones, Dreaming, Travellin' Light, The Minute You're Gone and We Don't Talk Anymore, has spent most of his life entertaining on the big stage and making appearances in films and on television and is the second highest rated entertainer ever to appear on the British charts.

Sir Cliff, who also has a home in Barbados, is the only singer to have had a single in the UK in five consecutive decades between the 1950s and 1990s. Accompanied by his band The Shadows, his hits have sold over 250 million copies around the world since 1958 and his superstar persona has also been boosted by his appearance in films including The Young Ones, Summer Holiday and Expresso Bongo.

Event planner with Cave Shepherd, Kim Tatem explained that they were looking forward to the event at Pages: "This book is an interesting read as it gives some never-before heard tales of his life, along with details on his family and friends. Although Sir Cliff has written other books, this one contains lots of stories and frank discussions and topics never tackled before. So it's an excellent read and the man himself is just phenomenal.

"From the time the book was released late last year it climbed to the number one spot for a non-fiction work and he has already signed over 5 000 copies in the UK alone," Tatem explained.

She further noted that Barbados was one of Sir Cliff's favourite places and it was an extreme honour to welcome him to Pages to sign copies of his much acclaimed book.
