CAVE SHEPHERD LAUNCHES CHASSEUR COOKWARE WITH IN-STORE COOKING SESSION

THIS is how it's done.

That was the message sent to shoppers on Cave Shepherd's top floor recently when the Housewares Department hosted a cooking session with local celebrity chef John Hazzard of Island Caterers/The Cane Grill.

The session held to demonstrate the many uses of the new line of Chasseur enameled cast-iron cookware, brought shoppers in their dozens to the demonstration as tantalizing aromas drifted through the store.

Events coordinator with Duty Free Caribbean, Kim Tatem, noted that the customers thoroughly enjoyed the experience: "John is renowned locally and he demonstrated the various uses of the cookware by preparing a very tasty and easy skillet grilled king fish and risotto using the Chasseur cookware, which our customers sampled for themselves.

"It was our way of bringing the department to life and showing customers the different uses of the cookware as well as the durability of the Chasseur brand, which is a significant improvement on the classic cast-iron ware as it has doubled enamel and is already treated," she added.

The next session will be with Len Holton, a representative of Dexam Wok on November 29.
