BIG PARTY AT CAVE SHEPHERD FOR MA DAME PERFUME LAUNCH

JEAN Paul Gaultier's newest fragrance, MA DAME was launched in Barbados at Cave Shepherd, Broad Street, on Thursday night with an exclusive in-store party, complete with dance floor and deejay.

Pulsating rock and R&B filled the store as guests filed into the Perfumery Department of sparkling lights and the light floral scents of MA DAME.

Brand Manager for Jean Paul Gaultier, Regina Lopez invited guests to party away the evening as sparkling glasses of the pink Ma Dame theme drink and juice, drinks and other hors d'oeuvres were served as some took the opportunity to shake a body part or two to the rhythms.

"This is the newest addition to the fragrances. It is a fragrance for today's modern woman - a woman who is liberated, spontaneous, very free, full of energy and very vibrant, and we are very excited about this launch today," said Lopez.

"Its very important that Barbados knows about Jean Paul Gaultier, because this fragrance is being launched internationally at the same time in October. It is such a fantastic fragrance and a great step forward for the Jean Paul Gaultier label," she said.

Lopez added while Barbados may not be the first in the region to carry the new scent, it was certainly not the last as there were some countries that would be launching in November.

Manager of the Perfume and Cosmetics Department, Juel Bannister noted that the perfume was a hit at the launch: "We already have five additional fragrance in the store by Jean Paul Gaultier and every summer he releases an exclusive perfume for men and women, which we also carry each year.

"Ma Dame caters for and showcases the different sides of women - whether flirty, unique, inventive, stylish, every facet you can think of, and the response by our customers has been exceptional. They really like it and we are very happy to be able to offer it to them here at Cave Shepherd, as well as in our Harrisons stores."
