CAVE SHEPHERD FIRST TO INTRODUCE VICTORIA'S SECRET TO ENGLISH-SPEAKING CARIBBEAN
CAVE SHEPHERD is the first company in the English-speaking Caribbean to offer Victoria's Secret to its customers.
During a two-hour long launch, that transformed the company's flagship store in Broad Street into a "Secret Garden", customers were introduced to the newest product in the Victoria's Secret line - Sweet Daydream.
They were also reintroduced to some of the previously popular ones around the world, including Beauty Rush, Pink, Dream Angels Heavenly, Love Spell, and Amber Romance among others.
Both the sales director, Ann Swain and public relations manager with Victoria's Secret, Mariae Caballero were in Barbados for the launch.
Caballero noted that there were currently 1 000 stores in the United States offering the brand's body care, fragrances and make-up lines: "We have eight scents in Barbados, including Amber Romance, Love Spell, Super Model and of course, our newest product, Sweet Daydream, which only came onto the market four months ago.
"There are also 12 shades of lip gloss in the Beauty Rush line and four eye shadows. Later this year we will be offering more eye shadow colours because we realize here in Barbados, you like the really bright and sparkling colours. So we will bring that for you," she added, to the delight of the 100-plus crowd gathered.
Tracey Lloyd, regional director of marketing with Duty Free Caribbean, said the beauty care line, which is now offered in both the Broad Street and Vista Worthing branches, was renowned for its trendy and exclusively feminine products, and the company thought it was a natural expansion for the cosmetic and beauty division.
"We are very excited about this launch. Earlier this year we gradually introduced some of the splashes, lotions and shower gels, along with some make-up. We've expanded now with additional lines from Victoria's Secret and judging by the response, our customers are very happy.
"It's also a tremendous opportunity for us to be the first retailers of this product in the English-speaking Caribbean. We are always looking to break new ground, to see what we can offer that is different and certainly what our customers are asking for. This is where our focus is as a company - on satisfying our shoppers and making their experience memorable," said Lloyd.
