TRIP TO LOUISIANA TO SEE RIHANNA IN CONCERT FOR LUCKY CAVE SHEPHERD CUSTOMER

TWO lucky persons will be flying to Louisiana in July to see local singing sensation Rihanna perform live, thanks to Cave Shepherd's "See Ri Ri Live" Promotion.

The competition, which runs until June 20, will see one lucky winner receiving a trip for two to the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans on July 4, where Rihanna and other artistes are slated to perform. The winners will also get the opportunity to attend empowerment seminars and other concerts as well as sight-seeing trips through New Orleans.

Regional director of Duty Free Caribbean, Tracey Lloyd said they were very excited about the promotion, especially given the presence of Rihanna in the Festival line-up.

"Since her rise to stardom few Barbadians have ever seen Rihanna perform. We know that our customers would love to see her live and we decided to go ahead and make that dream come true for some lucky customer.

"The fact that she is now a Grammy winner and the only female to ever win such a prestigious award for Barbados makes this even more appealing because it speaks to the quality of what she does and the quality of what Cave Shepherd is offering to one fortunate winner and his/her guest," said Lloyd.

The competition is open to adults 18 years and older, spending $75 at any Cave Shepherd outlet, and according to Lloyd, there will be numerous exciting consolation prizes to be won.

"A number of partners have joined us to ensure our customers come out winners in a number of ways with our 'See Ri Ri Live' promotion. Escape Spa is offering a free spa treatment as a consolation prize for Mother's Day," Lloyd said.

She added that this was just a sample of the prizes being offered with the aid of major sponsors like Explorer Travel, The Nation Publishing Company and Starcom Network.

One winner, Lloyd said, will dine in style at Aqua Restaurant and receive free admission to the cabaret show at The Plantation. Escada Moon Sparkle, the exotic fashion fragrance of the stars, will also be offering umbrellas as consolation prizes for the competition, while the Line and Length Barber Shop will be offering three months of free barber services to one of Cave Shepherd's lucky customers for Father's Day.

The Essence Music Festival attracts some of the biggest names in music and this year Rihanna will perform on July 4, along with artistes like Kanye West and Chris Brown. The day's empowerment seminar will be led by Tyler Perry and his cast from "House of Payne".
