SEVEN lucky shoppers at Pages bookstores have each won a special deluxe edition of JK Rowling's, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The winners, Mohita Shenoy, India Luke, Sonya Alleyne, Anita Chandler-Marshall, Lisa Mustor, Orion Lewis and Elizabeth Copeland recently received the leather bound, gilt edge collector's copy and a cobalt blue, satin page marker from Michael Maloney, operations manager for Pages.

Maloney congratulated the winners, who shopped at all Cave Shepherd and Pages locations and said: "These are the only copies of this special edition on the island. So I hope you treasure this special copy as you join an elite few around the world."

He added that the demand for the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series was such a hit, that the bookstore chain continued the Harry Potter mania well after the July launch, with customers still coming in their numbers to get their copy.

Shenoy, age 11, stated that the collector's edition book was the first thing she has ever won: "I bought a copy of Deathly Hallows the day after it was launched and have already finished reading it. I am very excited to win this special copy."

An excited and elated Alleyne said she was a happy and satisfied Cave Shepherd customer: "I got my entry forms after purchasing school supplies for my son and when the cashier gave them to me I told her that I never win anything. So you can imagine how happy I was when I found out I had won."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was simultaneously released worldwide last month and since then this widely popular book has received its first nomination in the Best Book category at this years UK Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards.
