BEST SELLING NOVELIST ERIC JEROME DICKEY COMING TO PAGES
FOUR fans of popular African-American novelist Eric Jerome Dickey, familiarly known as 'EJD', will get the chance to dine with him at Turtle Beach Resort next week.
Dubbed by the New York Times as the 'Chick-Lit King', he will be in Barbados to promote his latest book, Genevieve.
This Pages Bookstores promotion being hosted in association with Turtle Beach Resort and Penguin USA, will see the writer of romance fiction for women autographing copies and reading excerpts of his new book at the Cave Shepherd Broad Street branch of Pages Bookstore this Monday, August 29, and at Pages in the Cave Shepherd Vista Store, Worthing, the next day.
Fans interested in lunching with EJD need only to call in and answer questions posed by the author about his books when he is interviewed on Starcom Network's 104.1 FM on Tuesday, between 8 a.m. and 8.30 a.m.
Anita Elms, regional marketing manager for Cave Shepherd's parent company, Duty Free Caribbean, explained: "We realised that before EJD's books hit the shelves, they're almost sold out and bringing him here is our way of showing our appreciation for those loyal Pages readers, as we continue to find unique ways to reward our customers.
"This promotion was made possible with the assistance of book publishers, Penguin USA and Turtle Beach Resort, who consented to host EJD as their guest. We at Duty Free Caribbean wish to thank them for their role in providing Barbadians with this opportunity."
Dickey was a stand up comic before becoming a novelist and, today, readers know him best for his steamy best-selling titles such as Naughty or Nice, The Other Woman, Thieves' Paradise, Between Lovers, Liar's Game, Cheaters, Milk in My Coffee, Friends and Lovers, Sister Sister and Drive Me Crazy.
His book Friends and Lovers has made the transition from print to the stage in the form of a play currently on tour in cities across the United States. Another, Cheaters, will make its stage debut this year. Genevieve, is a tale of intrigue, hidden identities and self-discovery and is his 11th novel.
