Mr Geoffrey Cave, who holds a B. Comm from McGill University in Canada, joined Cave Shepherd, a family-run business at the time, in 1963. He held various positions in the company before being appointed Managing Director in 1970. In 1975, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors, a position he maintains today.
Mr Cave has a distinguished career in business in Barbados being involved as Director and Chairman of several leading private and public companies in Barbados. He also served on the Board of several governmental and non-governmental organisations and has been an advisor and trustee to numerous schools, colleges, universities and charities.
He is a Justice of the Peace and at the turn of the century was awarded the Barbados Centennial Honour. In 2001, Mr Cave was honoured with the Caribbean Master Entrepreneur Award. In the Queen New Years' Honour's List in 2003, he was appointed Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire and in October 2007 the University of the West Indies conferred an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws (LLD). More recently, in October 2009, Mr Cave was appointed an Independent Senator by the Governor General of Barbados. This appointment reflects his long and distinguished service to the business community as well as to Barbados as a whole.
Peter Allan has been involved in Caribbean Duty Free Retail for over 10 years and joined DFCH in September 2001, as Chief Operations Officer. He was appointed as CEO in 2004. As CEO Peter is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership and management of the business operations of Duty Free Caribbean Holdings. He heads, directs and guides the Executive Management Team in the delivery of corporate strategies for growth and expansion and the achievement of ROI, Sales and profit objectives.
Prior to joining DFCH, Peter was Caribbean Regional Director for Colombian Emeralds International, a position he held for six years. In this capacity he was responsible for their operations in the Western, Eastern and Southern Caribbean, 35 stores on 11 islands.
Peter has 30 years retail management and luxury product experience, having formerly worked for Signet Group Plc in the UK, the world's largest retail jewellery group, where his career encompassed senior field operations and retail development roles. His last position with Signet Group was Regional Director responsible for the North of England and Scotland, 150 stores and 1200 personnel.
Felix Brunner brings substantial travel retail experience to DFCH. He joined the Dufry Group in 2000 as General Manager, Ghana and was appointed Deputy Chief Operating Officer in 2005 with responsibility for operations in Morocco and Western Africa (Ivory Coast and Ghana).
Before joining Dufry, Felix held various positions in manufacturing and commodity trading groups such as Union Trading Company (Nigeria operation) and Jacobs Suchard Group. He held positions in procurement, logistics and marketing and his early career was in international banking.
Felix has a Bachelors degree in economics, specializing in finance and marketing and is fluent in three languages.
Ian Gibson leads the Group's financial function in its goal to maintain DFCH's financial credibility and stakeholder confidence. This he delivers by upholding the integrity of the Company's financial operation and by providing sound and timely financial information that aids decision-making. Ian acts as guardian of the businesses assets and contributes to its strategic and tactical planning for growth and sustainability by offering informed and well reasoned advice regarding financial capability.
Ian previously worked with Coopers & Lybrand as an Audit Manager. He joined Cave Shepherd & Co. Ltd. in 1995 and assumed his current position with DFCH in 2000.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados – Practicing Member and a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA).
Maureen Davis is responsible for leading the business development process and strategy formulation for regional growth and expansion, ensuring that the relevant structure and support are in place to facilitate growth and quality standards are maintained. Her role includes the identification of emerging opportunities, the continuous evaluation and improvement of existing businesses and the management of the design and construction process.
Maureen joined Cave Shepherd & Co. Ltd. in 1983 and has extensive retail planning and design experience spanning over twenty years. She assumed her current role with DFCH in 2000.
She is a Director of Duty Free Caribbean Holdings, Fortress Caribbean Property Fund, the Tourism Development Corporation and sits as an alternate Director of the Bridgetown Cruise Terminal Inc.
Tracey Knight-Lloyd is responsible for creating and implementing strategic marketing programmes which contribute directly to the achievement of Duty Free Caribbean Holdings' (DFCH) corporate goals and corporate mission. She is also responsible for the management of all corporate brand initiatives as well.
Tracey Knight-Lloyd assumed duties with Duty Free Caribbean Holdings in 2006, after working as Brand Specialist for Sagicor Life Inc, a regional financial services company, where she was responsible for marketing and branding activities for Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean and the Netherlands Antilles.
Tracey Knight-Lloyd is the holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons) in Mass Communications.
As Regional Merchandise Manager, Pamela Laurie is responsible for product management for the Cave Shepherd, Harrisons and DFCH business units. Pamela is accountable for achieving an attractive gross profit whilst ensuring that the product and brand assortment is attractive to DFCH's customers.
Her role encompasses all aspects relating to selection, purchasing, inventory management, merchandising and product pricing. Pamela and her team are also responsible for ensuring effective product training for the sales team.
Pamela joined Cave Shepherd as a Buyer in 1987 and was appointed to her current role in 2002. She has a wealth of experience in buying for the Caribbean market in particular and has recently helped develop Duty Free Caribbean Holdings' newest initiative, Caribworld Inc. television home shopping. Pamela holds an MBA from Howard University.
Jennifer joined Colombian Emeralds International in 2007, responsible for leading the IT strategy and operations throughout the Caribbean's 70 stores on 13 islands. This role was expanded to Duty Free Caribbean Holdings business unit in 2009. To this role, Jennifer brings with her 15 years technology management which includes Big 5 consulting experience.
Prior to joining DFCH, Jennifer worked with Accenture in consulting Fortune 500 companies to identify opportunities for service delivery, cost efficiency and operational effectiveness by optimizing technology and governance areas. She was responsible for developing roadmaps to achieve operational excellence and competitive advantages by transforming IT organizations into strategic business partners to increase business value and performance.
Michael Grant was appointed Regional Logistics Manager in 2003. This was a new position within the Business. Michael and his team are responsible for all aspects of supply chain management including ordering, shipping & receiving, warehousing, product delivery and inventory control.
Michael was instrumental in the project management and design of the new Distribution Centre which forms part of the logistics department and which has helped to significantly modernize this operation.
Michael joined Cave Shepherd in 1988 and has a sound knowledge of the business and its operations, having worked in a number of its departments.
He is currently studying for a CGA designation.
Formerly Deputy General Manager of the Harrisons Business Unit, Pauline Mager was appointed Head of Human Resources for the Group in 2002. She and her team are responsible for facilitating the development of the ideal organizational structure and culture for DFCH, resourcing the Business with the right people, delivering effective development and training opportunities and managing the Businesses performance and reward systems. Employee relations and involvement also form a major part of her role.
Prior to her time with Harrisons, Pauline lectured at the Cornwall Business School in the UK and also worked for a number of years at Marks & Spencer plc in Personnel Management. She is a member of the CIPD and the Institute of Management.
As Island Manager, Cave Shepherd and Harrisons, Barbados, Richard Simpson has a large portfolio of 18 stores and their local business support departments under his management. Richard is responsible for all aspects of store operations, customer satisfaction, concessionaire liaison, team development, security and delivery of aggressive sales targets.
Richard joined Cave Shepherd in 1983 and has a wealth of experience, having worked in most departments.
His previous career was in management within the agricultural industry.

Rosemary Deligny is Island Manager for the DFC and CEI operations in St. Lucia and Grenada.
Along with her accountability for the achievement of sales and profit targets her responsibility extends to the marketing, human resources and accounts functions for both locations.
After a career in nursing in the UK Rosemary moved into retail as accounts executive with Fashion Fair Cosmetics handling 40 accounts including Harrods and Selfridges. Before joining CEI she was a Marketing Manager in the hotel industry.
Allan Haynes is head of the Finance department. His main responsibilities include financial reporting, enforcement of internal controls, budgeting, insurance and cash management of the group.
Allan previously worked with Ernst & Young as an audit senior. Thereafter he worked for 15 years with Texaco Eastern Caribbean Ltd where he became regional Chief Accountant for the English speaking, French and Dutch territories. He was selected as a star performer and a member of the president club for Texaco international. He led the team which was responsible for installing an accounting system throughout the Caribbean region. He joined Duty Free Caribbean Ltd in May 2001.
He is a Fellow and practicing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados – A member of the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA).
Jukka Terho is responsible for leading the coordination and management process of all development projects undertaken by Duty Free Caribbean. He is responsible for the timely completion of the projects and that the finished "product" fully meets the company's high standards and the objectives set. He serves as the main communication link for the various team members involved in the projects as well as for the external service providers and subcontractors hired. Jukka is also responsible for conducting research into the various business opportunities presented to the company to ensure that the executives involved in the decision making process are provided with accurate and current information.
Jukka joined the Group in July 2005 after spending the last 14 years working at a senior management level with several regional hospitality and retail organizations. Jukka holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management.
